Following the success of our 2023 conference in Birmingham, we are delighted to announce that this year's HACA conference will be held on 23rd-24th July 2024 at Telford International Centre, with the opportunity to also attend virtually.
The HACA conference is a celebration of the great work of health and care analysts bringing together analysts and leaders and decision makers to showcase how analysts can help leaders make high quality decisions.
The conference is brought to you by the four NHS Commissioning Support Units, designed and lead by The Strategy Unit with support from partnership organisations.

Who Should Attend?
The conference is open to analysts, leaders, decision makers and anyone else interested in analytics, working in health and care in the public sector including the NHS, local authorities, the civil service, academia and the third sector.
HACA is a space for analysts and leaders to share ideas, learn from each other, and form lasting connections through networking opportunities. The conference attracts individuals with interests in diverse fields, such as data engineering, machine learning, econometrics, mixed methods, simulation modelling, public health, social care, demand and capacity, mental health, and many more besides.
Please Note: Abstract submissions and in-person attendance of the conference are open to those working in the public sector (NHS/ local government/ academia) and the third sector ONLY.
Conference Support Fund
If you would like to attend / present at the conference but are unable to find funding to attend you can apply to the Conference Support Fund for support.
HACA’s Conference Support Fund may be able to provide travel and accommodation support for a small number of places. To be considered please email strategyunit.tnc@nhs.net providing:
- Name
- Organisation you work for
- Reasons support funds sought
- If you have an abstract submission
- Details of the support you require
- Approximate cost
- Confirmation that you have sought funding from your organisation
You can be considered if:
- You are self-funding OR your institution can not support you.
- You are part of a team who would like to present and the total cost of transport and accommodation is not cost effective.
- You have circumstances that make it difficult or impossible to attend the conference.
