Health and Care Analytics conference 2024

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘By analysts, for analysts and with leaders’ exploring the ‘What, How and Why of analytics!’

• What health and care problems can analytics help address?
• How can these problems be addressed through analytical methods?
• Why is high quality analysis needed to make impactful decisions?

We have an exciting programme filled with quality speakers from across the UK , with thought-provoking plenary sessions, learning sessions, poster presentations and workshops.

Our conference is open to and free to attend, for staff working in health and social care in the public sector in the UK. It offers you an opportunity:
• To celebrate and promote high quality analytical work
• To hear about novel and innovative analysis
• To explore the role of analytic teams in decision making in the health and care system
• For networking and collaboration
• To hear about and bring to your own work great analytic projects – “Steal with pride”
• To inspire analysts and analytic work before, during and after the conference!

The conference is open to analysts, leaders, decision makers and anyone else interested in analytics, working in the health and care sector particularly those working in the NHS, local authorities, universities, the civil service and the third sector.

HACA is a space for analysts and leaders to share ideas, learn from each other, and form lasting connections through networking opportunities. The conference attracts individuals with interests in diverse fields, such as data engineering, machine learning, econometrics, mixed methods, simulation modelling, public health, social care, demand and capacity, mental health, and many more besides.

If you would like to attend / present at the conference but are unable to find funding to attend you can apply to the Conference Support Fund for support.

HACA’s Conference Support Fund may be able to provide travel and accommodation support for a small number of places. To be considered please email strategyunit.tnc@nhs.net providing:

• Name
• Organisation you work for
• Reasons support funds sought
• If you have an abstract submission
• Details of the support you require
• Approximate cost
• Confirmation that you have sought funding from your organisation

You can be considered if:

• You are self-funding OR your institution can not support you.
• You are part of a team who would like to present and the total cost of transport and accommodation is not cost effective.
• You have circumstances that make it difficult or impossible to attend the conference.

Please note this is a small fund and applying does not guarantee support. Successful applications will be notified at the end of April.
