Marc Farr

Chief Analytical Officer, Kent and Medway ICB and East Kent Hospital NHSFT

Marc Farr is a dedicated professional who, upon leaving the management consultancy Experian, transitioned to UCL’s Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis as a senior research fellow. Since then, he has assumed roles as a researcher and professor at both UCL and CCCU, focusing his research on geodemography and health outcomes. In 2004, Marc joined Dr Foster as Director of Product Development, where he led the company’s efforts in developing tools spanning clinical benchmarking, financial management, and health needs mapping. In 2010, Marc became the Chief Analytical Officer at East Kent University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, overseeing informatics, clinical coding, and AI. Additionally, he serves as the joint Chief Analytical Officer for NHS Kent and Medway. Marc is a graduate of the King’s Fund future leaders course and has been recognized in the HSJ Top 50 Innovators in Health. He is the Founder of Beautiful Information, an Analytics consultancy, and OpenDataSavesLives, a not-for-profit research body. In 2023, Marc established the Chief Analytical Officers Network, hosted by APHA, where he currently serves as the chair.
